If I am part of the problem it probably explains all the woes of WHU since 1950s when people like me had no great expectations.
I support West Ham not because they win or lose not because they play at the Boleyn or now at a innappropriate stadium, not because the match day experience is good or bad not because we have owners of building firms or porn magazines, not because we sing bubbles in a ritualised fashion at the start of the game instead when the performance merited, and not because someone tells me to stand up if I love West Ham or because I hate Tottenham
I support West Ham because it is in my DNA if not the football club then the area - parents grandparents from West Ham and Plaistow going back to 1800s - and I was born and lived within a mile of the old ground.
If you think I am part of the problem then quote a popular chant

I might take one for the team here as I'm a bit of a hero like that. With all these Arsenal supporters supposedly at the London Stadium I might reverse the trend as Arsenal are my local team now.
I'll be cheering them on but I'll be doing it IRONICALLY. It will cost a bit more money as I'll have to buy a new, fresh scarf every week (have you ever seen an Arsenal supporter in an old scarf- it doesn't happen) and several pairs of glasses. Oh, and a Japanese bird or her seven-year-old daughter.
My God my loyalties are going to be split when we play West Ham, or WET SPAM as we hilariously call us...er...you.

Penners - Tuffley? Fuck me I'm surprised it has a football team, or anything organised for that matter. Only ever remember that big pub on the Stroud road opposite the council estate, and it all kicking off when my mates played rugby for Matson.

This has got to be a wind up.
Ipswich - is that because you can't read or write.
Anyway if not I am very pleased that there are number on here that won't be renewing next year as I will hopefully get a seat nearer the front sitting among people who support West Ham and not just in search of a match day experience.

Always support them.... always in the blood and the soul... but they don't take over my life like it used to... a massive part of that is the modernisation of football....it's just not the same game I grew up with... now either you adapt and go along with the sheep... or you don't... I think I got out at exactly the right time... enjoy what's left gents...

Not sure why, but have never really hated them like most other clubs. Decent support, good history and proper football ground!

I'll always support the team . The club as it is, with those 3 in charge and their god awful athletics bowl can go fuck itself when the current season ticket runs out. My match day experience is not as iconic as promised. Following the team away is the way forward.
